My Background
I have spent over twenty years working in education across both US and international contexts, much of that time within the IB framework. My professional experience spans classroom teaching, middle and senior leadership, and school governance.
Alongside my work in schools, I have contributed extensively to the IB Educator Network as an examiner, eAssessment author, curriculum developer, and workshop leader. I am also the author of several textbooks supporting teaching and learning in the MYP and DP. Across these roles, a consistent thread has been a commitment to conceptually driven approaches to curriculum, pedagogy and professional learning.
I now work full-time as an independent consultant, drawing on this experience to support schools and educational organisations in strengthening practice, building capacity, and creating conditions for meaningful, sustained improvement.

What about ATT (Approaches to Teaching)?
When I started teaching within the IB system in 2009, I remember feeling pretty well out of my depth for at least the first year. A colleague reassured me early on not to worry because “you’re still teaching the same content”. I’m sure that she was trying to be…
